We’re Still Here, and We’ve Grown
Thanks to everyone who has been following along on this journey and enjoying our coffee. Here's what has happened since our last (and first) post.
We brought on a wholesale account manager, then another
2022 brought with it a new focus on wholesale, aiming to share our coffee passion with like-minded businesses. In order to do that, we needed someone to serve as ambassador. First, our friend Natalie filled the role and got things ironed out, paving the way to bring on our new account manager, Grace.
We trained a roaster
Our head barista, C, started showing a lot of interest in the roasting process. Within the past year he has learned, trained, and ultimately taken over all of the production roasting. Countless hours were spent perfecting the craft - roasting, tasting, and critiquing - resulting in coffee we are more proud of than ever.
We added more options
We wanted to do something special last year when our cafe, Post Commons, celebrated its 5 year anniversary. We looked for a knockout coffee that we could use to showcase why we love coffee, and how surprising it can be.
To cap things off, we also added our decaf coffee to our offering list by popular demand.
We roasted and enjoyed 32 new coffees and 3 new origins
Since our last post we have roasted over 8,000 pounds of coffee sourced from 7 different origins. Those numbers might read differently to different people, but we’re proud to say we’ve meticulously roasted each pound, hitting marks, taking samples, tasting, sourcing, discussing, and critiquing. To us, that number represents the joy of getting to do something you love, which brings me to my last point..
Yes, we still love coffee!
When you do a lot of something, it can lose its intrigue and excitement. As we enter 2024, I can say we’re more excited than ever to continue to accomplish what we set out to do, which is to provide great coffee for every coffee drinker. We love providing coffee worth gathering around, and coffee to fuel whatever journey you’re on. We’re pushing to bring more training, understanding, and exceptional coffees to you and everyone who discovers us along the way.
