IDLE COFFEE CO. was built by the team at Post Commons with the same priorities carried out in coffee roasting. Our goals are to provide quality coffee and to foster connection both with one another and to the story of coffee as a whole. We will constantly strive to sustainably source the coffee that excites us the most and to roast it in a way that honors all the people who have worked so hard to get it to us.
WHY IDLE?
To be honest we struggled to find a name that conveyed what we were trying to build. When we finally got our roaster installed we put the first batch through and decided to meet the next morning to try it. We all had busy, full days ahead, but we carved out time to connect over the first roast of coffee. It was then we realized that moments like those make coffee special. Moments in your car on the way to work, moments with close friends at your favorite coffee spot, or the moments sipping on a cup in the comfort of your home, they’re all special because they force us to slow down, collect ourselves, listen, and reflect. The brand Idle came shortly after.
